Train Like Her Soccer Clinics allow young female athletes to be trained by current and future NWSL athletes. These clinics will be limited to 30 athletes in order to ensure that all participants have the ability to be personally coached by these professionals. Proceeds from these clinics go directly to these athletes and help cover their off-season training cost.
Ages: 12 -18
Athletes that will be working these clinics:
Kelsey Hill from Pepperdine. Started all 22 games as a redshirt senior. Scored four goals on only four shots as a defender. Was part of a stellar backfield that helped the Waves post 13 shutouts, which was one short of the school record, and the best goals-against average in the WCC
Lily Nabet attended Chaminade College Preparatory School and played for Real So Cal.Nabet attended Duke University, earning a degree in sociology. As a junior in 2019, she started all 20 matches and registered four assists. In her senior year, when she co-captained the team, the Blue Devils made it to the quarterfinals of the NCAA D1 women's soccer tournament. Angel City FC selected Nabet in the third round of the 2022 NWSL Draft, 36th overall. She made her first appearance for Angel City on June 3, 2022, against the Portland Thorns. She got her first start on July 1, 2022, also against the Thorns.
Savannah McCaskill plays as a midfielder for Angel City FC. McCaskill attended the University of South Carolina where she played for the Gamecocks from 2014 to 2017. As a freshman, she started in all 25 matches and tied for the most points (15) on the team playing as a forward (though initially recruited as a defender). She was named as Freshman of the Year by the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and was named to the conference's second-team and all-freshman teams.
Paige Nielsen currently plays for Angel City FC. Nielsen attended the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill from 2012 to 2015 where she played for the Tar Heels. Nielsen captained the Tar Heels during her senior season and finished her collegiate career with 13 goals and 7 assists playing as both a defender and forward.
